We were very pleased to host the 11th Scottish Spine Surgeons’ Meeting in Glasgow. Thank you to all for working with us to achieve such a fun, educational and interesting meeting. Over 50 professionals gathered over the two days to do the best for our patients gathered over the two days.
We were hosted very well by the team at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Thanks to all the invited presenters who gave practice changing talks. A particular thanks to those talks from colleagues outside of Scotland: Mr Robin Pillay, Mr David Jaffray and Mr Mel Grainger.
Congratulations to all the free paper presenters who represented their teams with distinction and started many passionate discussions. The judges scored on a combination of academic and message communication merit.
Congratulations to Fraser Riddoch achieving the first prize award for paper 5 – “Mortality of Combined Fractures of Atlas (C1) and Axis (C2) in Adults.” Fraser receiving First prize from Fraser Dean (right).
Well done to Simon Roberts for the second prize award for paper 2 – “Early results of anterior vertebral body tethering (AVBT) in the treatment of idiopathic scoliosis (IS).” Simon receiving Second prize from Fraser Dean (right).
