A highlight was the inspirational presentation by Paralympian Karen Darke. Karen kindly signed copies of her book “If You Fall…It’s a New Beginning”. Karen allowed us a close look at her Rio Gold Medal, here with Scottish Spine member Sharif Al-Qadhi upgraded to holding it!
Thanks to all of the invited presenters who gave practice changing talks. It was kind of Sandeep Konduru to come from University Hospital of the North Midlands to give us the benefit of their experience in “Enhanced Recovery in Spine Surgery”.
Congratulations to all the paper presenters who represented their teams with distinction with 11 papers read. The judges scored on a combination of academic merit and message communication.
